Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
teleios is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that sets your weights, reps and sets each day from how well you've recovered. This policy explains what data teleios uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. "We" and "us" mean Henry Wee, the developer of teleios.
The short version
- Your workouts and Health data stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch. We don't have a copy.
- Our server only keeps your sign-in account and a count of how many AI notes you've used today.
- AI notes are optional. If you turn them on, a short summary of your scores (never raw Health data, never your name or email) is sent to write them.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling data. Health data is never used for advertising.
- You can export or delete your data at any time in Settings.
1. Data that stays on your devices
teleios is built to work on your iPhone and Apple Watch, without a connection. The following data is stored only on your devices, and moves between your iPhone and Apple Watch directly through Apple's watch connection, never through our server:
- Your profile and settings: goal, training days, split, equipment, experience, units, reminder time.
- Your training plan and any custom exercises.
- Your workouts: every set's weight and reps, reps in reserve, cardio sessions, heart rate and calories from your Watch, and any pain you report.
- Your Readiness and Load history, including your morning check-in answers.
- Data read from Apple Health (see below).
Apple Health
With your permission, teleios reads sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, respiratory rate, heart rate and workouts from Apple Health. It uses these to work out your Readiness and Load, on your iPhone. teleios also saves the workouts you do in teleios to Apple Health.
Data from Apple Health is never sent to our server or any other company. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with data brokers. You can change what teleios can read at any time in the Health app: Profile → Apps → teleios. teleios still works with fewer signals, and tells you which ones are missing.
2. Data that leaves your devices
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive and keep:
- A random account ID that we create.
- The email address Apple or Google shares with us. With Sign in with Apple, you can choose to hide your email, and we then receive a private relay address.
- Your name and, from Google, your profile picture, if they share them. teleios doesn't show or use these.
- When you signed up and last signed in.
We use this only to sign you in, to link your subscription to your account so it follows you to a new iPhone, and to apply AI limits.
Subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to check which plan you have. RevenueCat receives your account ID, your App Store purchase history, and basic technical information such as your device type, iOS version, app version and IP address.
AI notes (optional, off unless you turn them on)
If you opt in, teleios writes your morning briefing and post-workout note with AI. Before anything is sent, the app shows you what is sent and asks for your consent. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → AI, and teleios then shows standard wording instead.
When AI notes are on, your iPhone sends a short summary to our server, which passes it to Claude (Anthropic), the AI model that writes the note. The summary contains only:
- Your Readiness score, its band and its top two reasons, for example "HRV 18% below baseline".
- Yesterday's Load score, and today's check-in answers (soreness, stress, energy from 1 to 5).
- Today's planned exercises with sets, reps, weight and what changed.
- After a workout: the Load score, the advice, and any new personal records.
- Your units (kg or lb) and today's date.
It never contains your name, email, location, or raw Apple Health data. Our server does not store or log the summary or the note. It only counts how many notes you've used today, to apply the daily limit. Claude (Anthropic) processes the summary under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not allow the data to be used to train AI models.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. We use them only to fix bugs.
Reminders
Morning reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No reminder data is sent to us.
3. Who processes data for us
| Company | What for | What they receive | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, payments, app delivery, crash reports | Sign-in and purchase information | Global |
| Sign in with Google (only if you choose it) | Sign-in information | Global | |
| Supabase | Our server: accounts and AI usage counts | Account details and usage counts | Singapore |
| RevenueCat | Checking your subscription | Account ID, purchases, basic device information | United States |
| Claude (Anthropic) | Writing AI notes (only if you opt in) | The short summary described above | United States |
Some of these companies process data outside the country you live in. We only use providers that protect data under contract and use encryption in transit. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising, and teleios does not track you across other apps or websites.
4. How long we keep data
- On your devices: until you delete it, or delete the app.
- Your account and AI usage counts: until you delete your account.
- Subscription records at RevenueCat: deleted when you delete your account. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its own policy.
- AI summaries: not stored by us. Claude (Anthropic) may keep them for a short period for safety and abuse monitoring, then deletes them.
5. Your choices and rights
- Export your data: Settings → Export my data saves everything teleios has on your iPhone as one file.
- Delete your data: Settings → Delete my data erases your data from your iPhone and Apple Watch, and deletes your account and subscription record from our server and RevenueCat. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there; you can delete them in the Health app. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel it in the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions.
- Withdraw consent: turn AI notes off in Settings, or change Health permissions in the Health app, at any time.
- Access or correct the account data we hold, or ask any question about your data, by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, or the GDPR in Europe and the UK), you may have further rights, such as to object, restrict processing, or complain to your data protection authority. We'll reply within 21 days.
6. Security
Data sent between teleios and our server is encrypted. Your sign-in session is stored in your iPhone's secure Keychain. Our server keeps no workout or Health data, so there is very little to expose. No method is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less at risk.
7. Children
teleios is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what data leaves your devices, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
