Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Henry Wee ("we", "us") for using the teleios app on iPhone and Apple Watch. By using teleios you agree to them. They apply together with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these terms apply, except where Apple's terms say otherwise.

1. Health and safety

teleios is a wellness app, not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. Readiness, Load, prescribed weights, advice and AI notes are general guidance based on the data available. They may not suit your health, injuries or circumstances.

• Check with a doctor before starting a new training plan, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or haven't exercised for a while.
• Use good technique, a spotter or safety equipment where needed, and never lift a weight you don't feel safe lifting, whatever the app suggests.
• Stop training and get medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or pressure, or shortness of breath. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Exercise carries a risk of injury. You choose what you lift and do, and you take part at your own risk.

2. Who can use teleios

You must be at least 16, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You need a compatible iPhone; some features need an Apple Watch and Apple Health access.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account secure: you're responsible for what happens in teleios under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my data.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

• Plans: teleios offers Basic and Premium plans, each billed monthly or yearly. The price, billing period and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you buy. Prices may vary by country and include any taxes Apple applies.
• Free trial: Premium includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid Premium subscription and your Apple account is charged.
• Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
• Cancelling: open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → teleios. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your teleios account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds: payments are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes: if we change a price, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent before you're charged the new price.
• Restore purchases: on a new iPhone, sign in with the same account or tap Restore purchases.

5. AI notes

If you turn on AI notes, some explanations are written by an AI model. AI can make mistakes or word things oddly. The numbers in teleios (scores, weights, sets and reps) are always calculated by the app's own rules, never by the AI. If an AI note seems wrong or worrying, ignore it and contact us. AI notes are part of Premium, have a daily limit, and may sometimes be unavailable; teleios then shows standard wording.

6. Using teleios fairly

Please don't misuse teleios: for example, don't try to get around subscriptions or limits, reverse engineer or overload our server, copy or resell the app, or use it to break any law.

7. Our content

teleios, its design, text and code belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use teleios on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's rules. The exercise library and photos are based on free-exercise-db, used under its licence. Your workout data is yours.

8. Changes and availability

We keep improving teleios and may add, change or remove features. We'll try to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Most of teleios works without a connection, so your logged workouts stay on your devices even if our server is unavailable.

9. Liability

teleios is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any injury, loss or damage that comes from using teleios or following its suggestions, or for indirect or consequential losses. If we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for teleios in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, or our liability for anything that can't legally be limited.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using teleios and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we stop offering teleios, we'll tell you in advance where we can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using teleios after a change, the new terms apply.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for teleios or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If you live elsewhere, you also keep any protections the consumer laws of your country give you.
